The 2007 Edition of the 100 Top-Ranked World Class Universities has just come out.
Since 2004 the
The Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China
has been evaluating some 2000 universities and ranked the top 100 for academic excellence
in technology, engineering and computer science. The report has gained world-wide reputation
and is regarded the accepted standard as judged by site activity and citations.
While the current ranking is important, the more interesting question is the trend: who is rising? Funds
and research investments should intersect the institutions of higher learning that would occupy the top
of the list ten years from now. The best way to appraise the future is to poll the people of each
university, and integrate their opinions. Such integration will have to rely on ranking the voters
themselves. This form is designed to rank voters through short-range question regarding the ranking of next year
relative to the current one.
If you beleive that you have a good sense and a credible opinion regarding the short term trend
of a certain institute of higher learning (per the list herein), then please share your opinion on this form.
All opinion sources will be kept apprised on the developing results.
The selected methodology,
BiPSA,
handles binary answers qualified with a measure of confidence, integrated through the BiPSA neural network.
